01 / The context
The problem behind the project.
A national accounting practice was moving between practice-management vendors. Its onboarding, financial, workflow, budgeting, and processing-fee applications already depended on the old platform. The migration needed to preserve those operating relationships, not just move records.
02 / The contribution
How I approached it.
- Learned the target's client, job, contact, and staff model deeply enough to retarget the licensed acceptance product to STAR.
- Completed the onboarding re-integration in one month, keeping that duration distinct from the wider firm's migration program.
- Converted the dependent dashboard, processing-fee, due-date, budgeting, and WIP/AR applications around the changed platform boundary.
- Kept the product available read-only through the cutover window so existing information stayed accessible while write paths changed.
03 / The result
What the work made possible.
The firm's licensed product and surrounding applications continued across a vendor-platform change. The work joined accounting-domain knowledge with hands-on integration engineering, maintaining a deliberate read-only boundary during cutover.
