01 / The context

The problem behind the project.

A manufacturer depended on a FoxPro estate accumulated over time. Before migration, the real boundary between superseded code and the programs still running the business had to be established.

02 / The contribution

How I approached it.

1. Inventoried 628 FoxPro program files and report forms, deliberately separating the live and superseded sets.
2. Read the legacy estate to identify business dependencies before deciding what to move.
3. Supported retail EDI advance ship notices and invoice transactions through SPS Commerce against Infor M3.
4. Directed the integration workload, including ship-confirm errors, the VAN path, ODBC access, and connector-based data movement.

What the work made possible.

The modernization work gained a defensible scope grounded in what the business actually used, alongside a retail integration path connecting the legacy estate to its ERP of record.
