01 / The context
The problem behind the project.
The state of one return can be scattered across practice management, workflow, tax software, signature tools, portals, and document storage. Tax Dashboard assembles that working context around the return so teams can understand what is happening and take permitted action without reconstructing the story across applications.
02 / The contribution
How I approached it.
- Kept client, return, workflow, signature, organizer, and source-document context attached to one live operating row.
- Supported controlled actions from that row, including signature and document-routing workflows where the firm's implementation enables them.
- Configured the supplying systems, columns, terminology, and behavior for the firm rather than assuming every practice has an identical stack.
- Defined the grid and operating contract on the server, with correlation, traceability, and exception handling across integration boundaries.
03 / The result
What the work made possible.
A configurable working surface for tax operations, not a replacement tax-preparation system or a passive retrospective report. Current scope is 1040 workflows. Broader return types and particular connectors require evaluation and configuration; they are not presented as universal shipped capabilities.
